(NEW AIRPORT) Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport (airport code: SAI)
The new Siem Reap airport is located 50 km east of Siem Reap town and about 40 km from Angkor Wat temple.

A taxi from Siem Reap to the new SAI airport typically takes 1-1.5 hours and costs between $25 and $35

4. Weather In January:
January is relatively dry and cooler weather, making it one of the most popular months for tourists to visit.

*Temperature: Daytime temperatures are usually pleasant, ranging from about 20°C (68°F) to 32°C (90°F). Evenings and early mornings can be cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 16°C (61°F).

*Rainfall: January is part of the dry season in Siem Reap. Rainfall is minimal, and you can generally expect sunny and rain-free days.

Covid Vaccination: From 3 October 2022, travellers to Cambodia are no longer required to present proof of vaccination upon arrival.

There is no risk of yellow fever in Cambodia, however, there is a certificate requirement

Yellow fever vaccination certificate required for travellers aged 1 year or over arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission and for travellers having transited more than 12 hours through the airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission.
6. Currency:
The Cambodian currency is the Riel. Although Cambodia's official currency is the Riel. US Dollar is used in most transactions, so we recommend taking some US Dollars in cash with some small denomination notes.
